Yachiyo Kiln Sake Glass w/ Blue & Gold Leaf

Yachiyo Kiln glassware is produced from a kiln in Yachiyo, Shimousa no Kuni.

This product is made with a scorching flame by skilled craftsmen who inherited the manufacturing process of Edo glass making, which has been designated by the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry as a national traditional craft.

Edo glass is a glass product made by winding glass onto a pole by hand, a process that dates back to the old Edo period.

Gold leaf is sprinkled on colored lines, a method that has been used since ancient times, and the transparency of the glass is expressed in shades of color.
