Tokoname Ware Japanese Teapot by Tamakitsu (Black large size)
This Tokoname ware teapot is made with highly skilled craftsmanship. The most important feature of this handcrafted teapot is the triangular tip of the teapot mouth. This triangular shape makes it possible for tea to flow out well, yet not leaking. The unique Ceramesh tea strainer was created after years of development, during which craftsmen worked laboriously amid heated competition to come up with the best design. Tokoname, with a history of 1000 years, is one of the six oldest kilns in Japan, a city of pottery steeped in history. Tokoname City, Aichi Prefecture, is located on the west coast of the Chita Peninsula facing Ise Bay. An ideal gift for your loved ones or as a Japanese souvenir.
